Army suspends retired three-star general over tweet sent to Jill Biden

A retired three-star standard of the U.S. Army has been suspended from a “mentor” situation right after sarcastically congratulating initial lady Jill Biden for studying “what a lady is.”

The Military confirmed the suspension to Fox Information Saturday and verified speculation that the veteran was under internal investigation for mocking Biden.

Fox News Digital reached out to the U.S. Military for clarification on the issue. A spokesperson for the Army verified that Retired Lt. Gen. Gary Volesky has been suspended. It also confirmed that he was section of an “inquiry,” but presented no more particulars. 

“Lt. Gen. Theodore Martin, commanding common of the Mixed Arms Middle, has suspended retired Lt. Gen. Gary Volesky from executing obligations as a Highly Skilled Professional — Senior Mentor pending the end result of the commander’s inquiry,” the Military instructed Fox News.

Volesky mocked Jill Biden on social media in June, responding to a tweet about the Supreme Court docket overturning Roe v. Wade.
